Los Angeles California artist Awol One, some may call him a crude poet, a drunken rambler or a melodic voice for humans but nobody can deny that he's maintained an uncompromising level of intelligence, honesty, dark humor and originality.Touring as a solo act and a member of The Shape Shifters , Awol has musically collaborated with everyone from Xzibit and BReal of Cypress Hill to Aesop Rock, KRS-One and Kool Keith. He has also opened for Atmosphere, Dilated Peoples and Emenem just to name a few.
In the early 2000s when journalists didn't quite know what to make of strange alternative indie hip hop, Spin magazine tried to pin him down as one of the premiere voices of emo-rap, while Vice Magazine, URB and LA Weekly were singing the praises of his anthems. His 2001 collaboration with Daddy Kev, "Souldoubt", quickly became seen as a L.A. underground hip hop world wide classic, and since Awolrus hasn't slowed down a bit. His latest release "Primer" came out on Alpha Pup Records in January 2019.
Taiyamo Denku - is a Milwaukee, Wisconsin native who has been emceeing and moving crowds and floating golden era sounding hip hop into ears for over 20 years. His live show interacts well with any crowd and his off top freestyle skills have been dubbed by MC Juice as " On his level" with the freestyles. Denku started his career with a Chicago- based group named W.A.S.T.E.L.A.N.D.S. with the group they went on to release 5 projects together. Since 2007 Denku has been a solo act which to date he has put out over 10 projects including his latest "No Industry Standard " Denku is Half owner and CEO of the brand "CyphaDen Music" which he runs with his Australian producer Dcypha. Denku is also a very active member of the Minneapolis based crew Hecatomb run by his longtime friend and artist Carnage the Executioner. Carnage dubbed Denku as the "Collabking" because of his endless work with other artists including Krs One, Kool G Rap, Joell Ortiz, Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss, Lil Kim and many more. He has 8 national tours under his belt and currently booking number 9, as Denku tries to keep real hip hop alive and well.
