Come to Cactus on May 5th for a rad show and to raise funds for FemFest! Leading up to FemFest, we often ask allies to donate their time to help us get ready for the costs of putting on a week-long festival, to ensure that your cover into FemFest can be donated 100% to community-based organizations within the city of Milwaukee that work to help and protect women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and families. The 2019 festival beneficiaries will be Diverse & Resilient and the Milwaukee Women’s Center.
Riverwest FemFest seeks to empower our communities through the celebration of art. It is a platform for femmes, trans, GNC, women, non-binary and POC, honoring the reclamation of power for those who have been historically excluded from, or not had, creative spaces.
Founded in Milwaukee, WI in 2015, FemFest is a week-long, city-wide festival and fundraiser! The 2019 festival runs from May 26th – June 2nd.
FemFest programming includes: Music, Visual Art, Performance Art, Film & Video, Comedy, Spoken Word, Poetry, Maker’s Market, and Workshops.
Inspired by the dazzling landscapes (and clothing) of Miami Vice, Peshtigo delivers a mix of M83’s textures, CHVRCHES' angst and Washed Out’s melodies.
Evan Pilak (keys/vocals) and Matt Davis (guitar) have been making music since bonding back in college. They added Luke Annear on electric drums in 2018.

Vanity Plates is rock and roll for people, by people. Combining instruments like drums, bass, and guitar, they ask tough questions and don’t always wait around for the answers. Milwaukee alt-pop for overthinking underachievers.
