Gentle Humor is the first proper full-length from Boston-based band Sinnet. It’s a handsome mix of indie-rock, pop, and soul with bits of spookiness. Recorded at Woolly Mammoth Sound, Dave Minehan's (The Replacements) studio by Matthew Girard (Ruby Rose Fox, Will Dailey). Featuring a bunch of talented folks including Gavin McCarthy (Karate, Ted Leo, The Band E) and Mike Steward (Fable & The World Flat, Fresh Cut Collective).
The new, improved, and expanded Twin Brother. Since Swallow the Anchor the band has expanded to a six-piece, with Lodewijk “Lodi” Broekhuizen moving from bass to lead guitar, Terry Hackbarth taking over on bass, Luke Rivard occupying the drum throne vacated by Tyler Nelson, Andrew Eshbaugh adding horns to the mix, Marlese Koehnlein supplying organ accompaniment, and Raasch setting down the guitar to focus on front man duties. This brawny, filled out iteration of Twin Brother is in the process of recording an album that Raasch anticipates will be ready by fall.
