Join Milwaukee DSA, Cooperation Milwaukee, PSL-Milwaukee, African American Roundtable, and LIT Wisconsin on Monday, April 3^rd from 6:00 – 8:30pm at Cactus Club for a teach-in and community conversation around elected officials’ plans to open a new $42 million youth prison on Milwaukee’s north side. All prisons are sites of abuse, trauma, and violence, and mass incarceration separates families and devastates entire communities. Milwaukee’s youth deserve the care and resources they need to thrive, not imprisonment. Join us for an evening of public education, community discussion, and collective dreaming for a world without prisons.
