DESCRIPTION:Do you enjoy or make films? Have you ever wanted to put together your own screening but felt overwhelmed trying to start? This workshop hosted by M.O. Guzman will help give you the tools to start hosting your own film events! With an emphasis on finding and sharing resources and artist communication this workshop is helpful for anyone interested in starting to program Art events of any kind. M.O. Guzman (commonly known as "Mace") is a multidisciplinary artist and curator. Inspired by their roots in DIY music scenes they started SEEN, an anti-censorship moving image queer moving image collective that began programming in Milwaukee in 2019. Since, the collective has worked with gallery spaces, music venues, and community art spaces to host screenings, installations, and multi media live performance events across Milwaukee, Sheboygan, and Chicago.
