DESCRIPTION:<div dir="auto"> ⛄️Join us with your cutest holiday ideas - your host Cole Kirkendall will guide you through fundamentals of photography and animation, and walk participants through the free software Stop Motion Studio.   </div> <ul> <li dir="auto">Explore the importance of camera settings (ISO, shutter speed, white balance, etc), image making techniques (rule of thirds), and animation and puppet fabrication tips. Ease in and outs, animation movement timing related to frame rates, keeping your objects tied down when animating.</li> <li dir="auto">After some slides, it’s free time to be creative. Participants can use provided materials (or bring your own) to fabricate puppets and sets, and then animate at their stations. Perfect activity for friends and families, to spend time crafting and creating characters, and hopefully collaborate on an idea for a short film or holiday video card!</li> <li dir="auto">💫 Preparation: please bring a smart phone and have the free app “Stop Motion Studio” downloaded before you arrive. Some materials will be provided, but bring whatever paper or cardboard backgrounds, wire, clay, string, colored pencils, construction paper, and fabric you might want to use to create your animation.</li> </ul> <div dir="auto"></div> <div dir="auto"> Thanks to a grant from Wispact we are able to provide free admission to disabled, chronically ill, and/or neurodivergent community members.
