after beginning creating music his freshman year of high school, yusi, a native of Milwaukee, is an alternative hip-hop artist who writes songs heavily based on his personal experiences. his newest release, “i should learn guitar,” leans heavily on his experiences of growing up and leaving the past behind, conveyed through a mesh of genres that blend traditional hip-hop with jazz and alternative influences. all in all, yusi consistently uses music as a canvas, letting life guide the brush strokes throughout the years.
