Cactus fibers club Tight-Knit presents the embroidery workshop Visible Mending Using Sashiko

Join Petra Ahnert, author, beekeeper, owner of Beehive Alchemy and co-owner of Slow Burn Collection, to learn garment mending using sashiko, a traditional Japanese embroidery and stitching technique that is both decorative and functional.

Participants can bring items to mend, but fabric scraps will be available to learn and practice on.

Materials provided to use at workshop:

• Patch fabric
• Sashiko and embroidery floss
• Stitch templates and temporary markers
• Iron and ironing board
• Sashiko needles and thimbles
