Music Go Round and Volta Records return with another installment of our all ages show series, once again at Cactus Club on July 17. With a secondary goal of bridging the gap and fostering relationships between Milwaukee and scenes in other cities, this evening’s lineup features two bands making their Cactus Club debuts alongside one of the city’s best new acts.
My Melody (Milwaukee, WI)
Milwaukee trio My Melody was formed in 2023, and their brand of emo-leaning indie rock has quickly gained the band a considerable following in Milwaukee’s DIY scene. Part of the Pierhead collective alongside previous show series participants In Shining Armor, Forktail and Frantic repair, the band’s debut EP Silent Angel was released last fall. They are currently at work on its follow up.The Wisconaut (Brooklyn, NY)
With roots in Wisconsin and Syracuse, the origins of the WIsconaut can be traced back to 2012, where Andrew Idarraga and Ryan Lehner sat together in high school jazz class. They cut their teeth playing their Milwaukee-penned Replacements inspired songs to basements of rowdy Syracuse college students. Their latest album, County XX was released earlier this year and finds the band expanding their sonic palate.

Red Cloth (Milwaukee, WI)
With years of experience in previous projects under their belts, Red Cloth are a rather new Milwaukee duo who play rock n roll the way it needs to be played-loud and in the red. Their debut EP was released earlier this year.
