CURE
(Milwaukee, WI)
Genre: Reggaeton
CURE is an artist built between two worlds. Raised in the rhythm and language of Colombia’s Caribbean coast and now creating out of Milwaukee, his music lives in the space where both cultures meet a fusion of reggaeton, dancehall, and urban sound carried by informal, street-rooted Colombian Spanish and a distinctly American backdrop. It’s not a gimmick or a marketing angle; it’s simply where he’s from and where he is now, and the music reflects both honestly.
His relationship with music started young with the guitar and the drums in hand long before any thought of a stage. That early foundation is where his ear for melody, rhythm, and singing was built. But for years, music stayed just that: a foundation, not a path. It wasn’t until he moved to the US for college that he reencountered music in a different way, through songwriting. That reencounter changed everything. What had been a childhood skill became a vivid, personal outlet, and it pushed him to set up a home recording studio to start working on his first drafts. That’s where CURE, the artist, actually began.
The duality of coasts is the foundation, but the philosophy runs deeper. CURE’s music isn’t built around one fixed feeling or mood, it’s built around intensity itself. Whatever you’re feeling in the moment, feel it hard and feel it deep. Joy, heartbreak, nostalgia, desire, defiance, the emotion doesn’t have to be positive or polished, it just has to be real and fully lived. That same principle; no hay afán, no rushing, no forcing; shapes how he approaches the craft: let the feeling arrive honestly, then give it everything.
