Kate Klingbeil
Kate Klingbeil (b. 1990) is a visual artist from the midwest predominately working in painting, sculpture, installation and film. Her recent work explores mycelial networks and root systems as metaphor for emotional ecosystems. Kate has been awarded artist residencies at places including Oak Spring Garden Foundation (Upperville, VA, 2021), Marble House Projects (VT, 2021), the Arts/Industries program at John Michael Kohler Art Center (Sheboygan, WI, 2020), Yaddo (Saratoga Springs, NY, 2019), and ACRE (Steuben, WI, 2016). She has presented solo exhibitions of her work with Steve Turner, Los Angeles (Unseen Animal, 2022 & Grown Woman, 2021); Hesse Flatow (Uprooted, New York, 2021) and at SPRING/BREAK, New York with Field Projects (Burrowed, 2020). Kate received a BFA in Printmaking from California College of the Arts in Oakland, CA in 2012 and currently resides in Milwaukee, WI.
