Scoob & Sydney came on the radar in 2019, when he was WTM Scoob, part of the cool-headed and prolific Detroit crew World Tour Mafia. Then he changed his name, and went silent outside of uploading drafts from his vault to SoundCloud every so often. That might not sound that unusual to you—it’s only been two years since his last official project—but in the fast-moving Detroit rap scene, that feels like a lifetime.
