Haunter is a long standing progressive indie rock band from Milwaukee that makes dreary pop songs featuring interesting rhythms and poignant lyrics. Though their influences span all genres, their sound can be described as a blend of Slowcore, Shoegaze, and Americana.
Hill View #73 is the recording project of Bangladesh-born but Atlanta-based songwriter Awsaf Halim. Halim blends intricate electronica–busy synth work and detailed video game sound font drum loops–with bubblegummy, melodic indie pop songwriting, showing aspirations of making eternal indie anthems from their bedroom desk. Their newest record Night Time is the Grace Period released in March.
Rain Recordings are a cross-continental recording project split between Stockholm-based songwriter Josef Löfvendahl and North Carolina-based multi-instrumentalist Evren Centeno. The duo met and harnessed a home-recorded indie folk/chamber pop sound during the pandemic years but just released their first in-person studio collaboration Terns in Idle, a bombastic and anthemic twist on the classic indie of the late 90s and early 00s, in April.
So Zuppy is the solo project of producer Micah Foust. Over the past several years this he has perfected a bright and bubbly bedroom pop production merged with a distinct soft voice. In the last year or so, So Zuppy has transformed into a quietly engaging live act, with members of Overhand, Big Laugh and Obess Tact backing up Foust’s delicate but hook-laden songs.
