Kent Avenue Carpool was formed in 2008 when Sam Beem and Liam Hartnett were in early grade school. Growing up across the street from each other, the pair wrote extremely weird songs which they performed at block parties and elementary school talent shows. After taking over a decade-long hiatus and a global pandemic, Liam and Sam began writing together again. Since adding the likes of singer/guitarist Josh Trimble and Drummer extraordinaire Hugh Maxey, the group has developed an ethereal psych rock sound that’s true to their Midwest roots. They’re set to release their self titled EP in February 2024. Kent Avenue Carpool is based out of Chicago, and born out of Milwaukee.
My Melody is a band from Milwaukee comprised of Kidd Starck on guitar and vocals and Oli Smith (Rainbow Cobra) on drums. Looking to exceed the sonic limitations of being a duo, they utilize unique rhythms and twinkly chord-melody guitar riffs to engulf listeners in song. They pull inspiration from early emo, prog rock and j-rock. They are currently recording their first EP for a Summer 2024 release.
