🔥 Gata 🔥 @kattnatashia is a vinyl DJ from San Antonio, Tejas. Before temporarily relocating to Chicago, they worked at Friends of Sound Records. Kat currently works as Project Coordinator for the Numero Group- an archival record label. With their free time Kat DJs and runs Gatas Discos, a YouTube channel dedicated to sharing records from her collection that would otherwise be forgotten.

🔥 La Colocha 🔥 @ocelomaitl began collecting and selecting records while living on the US-Mexico border, spinning in bars, parties, and cantinas in the center of Ciudad Juarez. Raised in Queens, NY, her love of boogaloo, salsa, and Afro-Latine rhythms grew from sounds emanating from her neighbors windows and the beats booming from car radios speeding down her block. La Colocha also found resonance in her mother’s roots via the Sonidero tradition of Mexico City, instilling an insatiable appetite for cumbia and exposing her to mambo, guaracha and danzón. These experiences weave the sonic tapestry La Colocha emits in each of her sets to move the hearts and bodies of the people who hear her play. She currently is based in Chicago,Illinois.

🔥 Del Pueblo 🔥 @delpueblochicago Del Pueblo Barbers & Records, located in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago, was founded by long-time friends and collectors Jon and Leo Guzman during the Summer of 2020. This personal project combines both of their individual passions of barbering & and music by offering a place for hair cuts and a specially curated selection of rare gems not typically found on vinyl or cassette tape format. In early 2023, Miguel Vargas joined the Del Pueblo Records team and has been working diligently to expand on the electronic music side of the collection. Del Pueblo Records boasts an array of genres for sale but prides itself with it’s Latin American catalog, ranging from scarce tropical Caribbean rhythms to regional Norteño & Tejano gems.
