Students for a Democratic Society is a progressive organization based primarily on UW-Milwaukee’s campus. Since summer 2024, after the Palestine solidarity encampment, SDS has been suspended as a registered student organization (RSO) on campus. Having RSO status stripped away makes it so SDS is unable to use designated funds for RSOs, which is crucial in making sure that students are able to attend the annual National SDS convention. This year’s conference will be held in New Orleans in October. Our fundraising goal is $1000 to cover van rental, gas, food and convention registration.
