TicketsWe are seeking film and videos that speak on the idea of TIMELINES. Think linearity (or lack thereof), progress of existence, events in the past, present, and future regarded as a whole. Or whatever it means to you.
Timelines screening will take place on 1/4/2023 at 8pm at Cactus Club Milwaukee (2496 S Wentworth Ave). $5-$20 sliding scale, no one turned away. All Ages.
This screening is dedicated to fundraising for Carl Bogner. Carl is devoted to the Milwaukee queer arts community. He is a selfless mentor and teacher (of 30 years) to so many growing artists in our city. His presence has allowed makers from all backgrounds to feel safe in their practice, pushing them to reach their fullest potential. He connects, empowers and serves as a role model for anyone in contact with him to feel at home.
Carl was recently diagnosed with advanced brain cancer. Debilitating surgery, radiation and chemo that has forced him to travel back and forth from Milwaukee to Madison has left him incapacitated. Soon he will stop receiving his salary and be forced to go on disability in an amount that will barley cover rent and will not include insurance.

Cactus Club Moving Image series (Moving Image) is an experimental series presented by the artist-run venue in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We aspire to create an environment conducive to critical engagement by showing work that takes risks, challenges norms, and opens a conversation by devoting to showcase a wide range of artist-driven and independent media. As a series, we hope to offer a space for the community to engage with film and expanded cinema from makers from a variety of backgrounds.

Guidelines:
– Film/video must be submitted by the maker
– no longer than 15 minutes
– digital file must be working
-CACTUS CLUB IS COMMITTED TO CREATING A WELCOME AND INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT. Work that goes against that will not be accepted.
