Possum has been bringing their powerful, psychedelic music to listeners since 2016. The band's colorful, high-energy performances transport audiences back to the glory days of psychedelic-rock music. It’s a “punch you out cold twang toned tornado” in the words of one eloquent fan. Possum met within the psych/garage music scene in Toronto. They started playing together, quickly deciding to amalgamate equipment and built a recording studio. Since then, the band has independently produced, packaged and released 100% of their music. Possum has performed at countless clubs, venues, breweries and DIY spaces around Canada playing with the likes of Ty Segall, All Them Witches, Shannon and The Clams, Bombino, LA Witch, & Chad Van Gaalen. After looming in the dark for the past year, Possum is set to release their debut album "Space Grade Assembly" in June 2019 on Garment Street Records working alongside Riot Act Media & Paquin Agency.

Math rock. Noise rock. Post punk or post hardcore. You could use any combination of those terms and dozens more to describe Life in Vacuum, though more accurately, you could just say, “undiluted urgency in audio form.”
The Toronto-based trio delivers an explosive, high-energy brand of aggressive rock that laces merciless but musical melodies and passionate vocals with rhythms seemingly spit out by an angry calculator. The result is many things: compelling, hypnotic, menacing, but most of all, undeniably magnetic.
