Los Angeles psych-punk shapeshifters Frankie and the Witch Fingers have spent the last decade mutating their sound into bold, electrifying new forms. Brimming with wiry synths, angular melodies, and grooves that squirm and bite, it’s all delivered with a sly, playful wink. Toronto-based psych outfit, Hot Garbage, melts within their unique sonic foundry, shiny metallic melodies, unearthed within rugged rhythms from the regions of krautrock and post-punk, then carbonized within sus-alloyed arrangements, that eventually emit heavy streams of gaseous neo-psychedelia. Though highly volatile, these four rock isotopes present the atmosphere with optimal levels of radioactivity, akin to that found in the presence of contemporaries: Ty Segall, WAND or Kikagaku Moyo.
