Join us for an afternoon film screening to raise funds for the Gaza Sunbirds paracycling team!

This cultural event will include two short films about the Gaza Sunbirds (Against All Odds & Palestine’s First Paracycling Team) and a longer documentary about Palestine (Where Should the Birds Fly) as well as a live musical performance by Songs For Liberation. There will also be a brief update regarding the progress of Milwaukee’s Big Ride for Palestine, a movement which has been uplifting Palestine and the Gaza Sunbirds since 2024. All money from this event goes directly to supporting the Gaza Sunbirds, who struggle to represent Palestine on the world stage of competitive cycling while also providing direct aid in Gaza.

Organized by Eric Kleppe-Montenegro, a documentary filmmaker and cultural worker who has been organizing solidarity group rides for the Gaza Sunbirds since March 2024 in coalition with a broad range of local organizations. His work is directly connected to the global solidarity movement, The Great Ride of Return, and has been approved by the Gaza Sunbirds.
