Minnesota’s Ray Gun Youth weave various strains of psychedelic rock, emo, punk, and even folk into dynamic songs about what it means to listen to your body and soul. With lyrics touching on singer Jake Frazier’s experiences starting life anew after a cult upbringing, the group’s self-released debut LP Second Estate swings from fuzzed-out powerful catharsis to gentle reflections, bringing to mind groups such as Pile, Hotline TNT, Microwave, and Hooveriii. Ray Gun Youth is singer/guitarist Jake Frazier, bassist Travis Clark, and drummer Hunter Theisen.

Spirited garage rock outfit Mary Jam combines elements of DIY Punk, Surf Rock, and Grunge to create a blistering sound that will stick to you like day old chewing gum. Drummer Katy Fenasci and guitar player/vocalist Alli KB have an intimate musical relationship that spans the greater part of seven years, culminating in the creation of Mary Jam in 2022. After performing as a duo for over a year and making a cross country move from New Orleans to Minneapolis, Sofie Matzen joined the mayhem and the current iteration of Mary Jam was born.
Mary Jam has been playing a barrage of shows across the Midwest and has no plans of stopping. They perform with enough grit and desperation to get even the weariest of punks out of their booth and onto the dance floor. They will be releasing their fourth EP in early 2026.
