Angelia Word

Angelia Word is an interdisciplinary artist and DJ. Her artistry is heavily influenced by the rawness of lo-fi house and a propensity for the sinister. Speed is her weakness, with many mixes traveling across high BPMs and incorporating elements of nostalgia and goofiness. Her mixes are often inspired by her frustration at the systems that crush us, and her desperation for a better collective future. She has played with KYRUH & WTCHCRFT, and is co-founder of FemmeDecks, a collective and mix series which aims to celebrate and empower diverse artists with marginalized voices.
