Philip Engsberg is an electro-acoustic artist, writer, and producer currently based in Milwaukee, WI. He is most known for his work on the saxophone, but is proficient on multiple instruments.

After nearly a decade of leading a 19-piece RnB orchestra – Big Beat Big Band – Philip’s work moves into the world of live soundscaping and production. His work in film and large ensemble composition remains a major influence in his solo and collaborative work: leaning into empty space with raw and sophisticated improvisation. He has recorded on a number of The Jack Moves’ albums (Everloving Records), and written compositions featuring jazz greats Vincent Herring, Rich Perry, Freddie Hendrix, Duane Eubanks, and Cecil Bridgewater.
