Tricky Youth is an LA-based singer, songwriter and producer born and raised in New York City who has been exploring the American musical underground since he was a teenager. With his distinct mix of brooding industrial doom metal, trap, noise and dark synthwave music, Tricky Youth crosses genre lines, underground scenes and influences as wide-ranging as Deftones, Three Six Mafia, Tim Hecker and Godflesh in pursuit of a raw, emotive, visceral and honest sound and performance equal parts as fearlessly vulnerable as it is loud. Tricky Youth gives a new meaning to the Three Six Mafia’s “Mystic Stylez” by introducing the ritual of Finnish funeral doom metal, synth-goth atmospherics, and industrial roar.
