New event series: Cactus Book Club! We’ll meet on the first Wednesday of the month, from 5:30-7:30, in person at the Club*. Every month a different bookstore, business, community organization, collective, or band will select the book & lead the discussion. This series is 18+.
Our Late Summer/Fall Schedule:
  • August 3rd, 2022 – discussion led by the Daily Bird
Book: Undoing Drugs: The Untold Story of Harm Reduction and the Future of Addiction by Maia Szalavitz. Recommended bookseller: Lionstooth • This discussion will also include overdose prevention training and free narcan nasal spray for all attendees.
  • September 7th – discussion led by the Milwaukee Public Library

Book: “Saga: Book One by Brian K Vaughan (writer) & Fiona Staples (illustrator).” Copies of the graphic novel are available to borrow throughout the MPL systems. Happy early Banned Books Week!

  • October 5th – led by the Women’s Medical Fund (WMF)

Book: “Handbook for a Post-Roe America (2021 edition)” by Robin Marty.
