Paisley Fields

(Brooklyn/Nashville)

Active since 2013, Paisley Fields is a singer, songwriter, and bandleader splitting time between Brooklyn, New York and Nashville, Tennessee. Fields’ writes country music. His songs are tender and authentic, but also pretty good with a joke. They’re mindful of tradition, but deeply informed by his singular background — as a teenage Midwestern church pianist, a Manhattan piano bar survivor, and a touring member of pioneering queer country outfit, Lavender Country. The stories are his, but the feeling they convey — love, loneliness, lust, and so on — are, hopefully, still universal.

The Sapsuckers

(Soldiers Grove, WI)

The Sapsuckers perform original country/Americana songs that blend humor, heartache, and honky-
tonk. Their lively take on country ranges from hillbilly roots to Nashville pop, and their creative lyrics,
catchy melodies, and clever stage show has earned them a growing fanbase. The duo (Nikki Grossman:
guitar, fiddle, lead vocals; and Joe Hart: guitar, mandolin, vocals) has recorded three albums, including
“Don’t Think About Tomorrow Tonight” (2018), co-produced by legendary British producer and engineer John Wood and “Ocooch Mountain Home,” (2015), which received high praise from the likes of fROOTS and Bluegrass Today.

Derek Pritzl

(Valders, Wisconsin)

“Derek Pritzl is a Wisconsin singer/songwriter born and raised in the fertile farmland of Valders, Wisconsin. He brings a style and narrative that is reminiscent of some of the great songwriters of yesterday and today, continuing a tradition of songwriting developed by artists such as John Prine, Guy Clark, John Fogerty, and Bill Walkner. His songs evoke visions of the struggles of the working man, the road-weary traveler, and of love found and love lost. Regardless of the size of venue, his music and songs create an atmosphere of intimacy, reflection, and fellowship that brings the audience into his world.”
