Driveway Thriftdwellers

(Milwaukee, WI)

Starting out as a few guys who just wanted to play some Flying Burrito Brothers tunes, the Driveway Thriftdwellers have emerged as a top original act in Wisconsin’s Country and Americana music scenes.

Named 2017 WAMI Country Artist of the Year, the Thriftdwellers have toured the past year in support of their critically acclaimed debut album “Cutover Country,” named a top 10 Milwaukee area album of 2016 by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel declared the Thriftdwellers’ 2017 Summerfest performance a “Best Of” performance for the festival, and called the band a must see live act for Summer 2017.

Paisley Fields

(Brooklyn/Nashville)

Active since 2013, Paisley Fields is a singer, songwriter, and bandleader splitting time between Brooklyn, New York and Nashville, Tennessee. Fields’ writes country music. His songs are tender and authentic, but also pretty good with a joke. They’re mindful of tradition, but deeply informed by his singular background — as a teenage Midwestern church pianist, a Manhattan piano bar survivor, and a touring member of pioneering queer country outfit, Lavender Country. The stories are his, but the feeling they convey — love, loneliness, lust, and so on — are, hopefully, still universal.

The Sapsuckers

(Soldiers Grove, WI)

The Sapsuckers perform original country/Americana songs that blend humor, heartache, and honky-
tonk. Their lively take on country ranges from hillbilly roots to Nashville pop, and their creative lyrics,
catchy melodies, and clever stage show has earned them a growing fanbase. The duo (Nikki Grossman:
guitar, fiddle, lead vocals; and Joe Hart: guitar, mandolin, vocals) has recorded three albums, including
“Don’t Think About Tomorrow Tonight” (2018), co-produced by legendary British producer and engineer John Wood and “Ocooch Mountain Home,” (2015), which received high praise from the likes of fROOTS and Bluegrass Today.
