Howdy Partner! Come out to MIDCOAST Unplugged 2 at the Cactus Club for some yee yaw, hodunkin’, rootin’ tootin performances by: Wisdm, Bronte, DJ Quilla, Quellez, and Phat Nerdz with DJing by Clyde and DJ Megadon. We are raising funds for MATU, Milwaukee Autonomous Tenants Union, a grassroots collective of tenants who are fighting for the decommodification of housing through collectivizing resources and action. Doors open at 8p and the cover is $7!

Phat Nerds is a local Milwaukee hip hop collective with global aspirations. Creative change in their way song by song.

Breonte

(Milwaukee)
Genre: Hip-Hop

Milwaukee-born and raised Breonte has been primarily influenced by KYLE, Childish Gambino, and Corbin (FKA Spooky Black). Breonte’s fascination with art and music flourished from browsing Tumblr and SoundCloud from the start. Broadening his horizons on artists and musicians that could not be found anywhere but online, Breonte promised himself to never be trapped in a box and to make what he feels like. His personality along with the existential crisis during the pandemic made him realize the main message he is projecting to the world with his music. Speaking to the people who are seen as the “outliers of society”, Breonte wants them to know: “we are all alone together”.

Wisdm

Genre: Hip-Hop

Wisdm is an up-and-coming producer/artist from Milwaukee, WI. His production and sample selection has a smooth, soulful, and R&B aesthetic. He also has a hip-hop project on the way, displaying his range in genre.

DJ Megadon

DJ Megadon is a born and raised Milwaukee native who has always been passionate about music and is heavily influenced by music ranging from the 60s all the way into the early 00s, and artists such as The Beatles, Bee Gees, Michael Jackson, Parliament-Funkadelic, Donna Summer, Duran Duran, Prince, Wu Tang Clan, A Tribe Called Quest, Lauryn Hill, Aaliyah, J Dilla, Madlib, MF DOOM etc. Already two years in as a DJ Megadon has been his impact around the MKE DIY music scene, performing at known venues such as Mad Planet, Company Brewing, Quarters Rock & Roll Palace, and Hi-Dive, just to name a few. He has also performed frequently at The Cooperage as he is one of the in-house DJs for Mid Coast MKE. DJ Megadon has been known to keep the crowd moving with his very unique classic song selection, and his goal as a DJ is for people to have fun during his sets while also developing a deeper appreciation for the classics.

DJ Quilla

DJ Quilla is a Milwaukee native known for curating diverse dance spaces of empowerment. Her music is influenced by RnB, 80-00s Hip Hop, and Latin music roots.
