Moving Image: Guest Curators

Thank you for showing interest in curating a program or event with Cactus Club! Please read the requirements below before beginning the application. If you are interested in making this a multimedia event, with accompanying musicians or DJs before, during or after, please include those details. We want this to be an opportunity for you to experiment with curation and bringing work you’re excited about together.

To curate a film program you must:

• share agreement from filmmaker(s) to screen film(s)
• create a flyer for the film program
• acquire files at least 3 days prior to screening
• view your film program prior to screening
• arrive 1 hour prior to test videos and your device

Please indicate below if this is a free program or if you will be charging a ticket price. Also indicate if you wish to be compensated or will donate the funds to an organization, mutual aid etc.

• For free/donation-based events, 100% money raised goes to organization
• For ticketed events, 100% of money raised after $125 goes to guest curator. The $125 for production goes to the Moving Image Series.
