The Go Rounds are one of contemporary indie rock’s most creative groups, a bold and visionary collection of talented musicians that have forged a reputation as innovators over the course of six studio albums and countless live performances.
Hailing from Kalamazoo, Michigan, they’ve firmly established themselves in the Great Lakes music community, becoming staples of the local festival circuit while taking their electric live show from coast to coast, from SXSW to Upstate NY’s Otis Mountain Getdown. Having shared the stage with Jeff Tweedy, Delicate Steve, Mandolin Orange, The Wood Brothers, Caroline Rose, The War and Treaty, Liz Cooper & the Stampede, and Lucy Rose, The Go Rounds are seriously experienced performers with the material to back it up.
Described as a blend of psychedelia, Americana, twang-rock and jelly-roll with a healthy dose of pop sensibility holding things together, The Go Rounds write music that sounds like bits and pieces of all your favorite bands exploded into rock ‘n roll confetti. Fingerpicked guitar, fuzzy distorted tones, introspective ambience, spellbinding vocals and effervescent synth-pop: they manage to effortlessly weave together a varied sonic palette through intricate arrangements that are at once accessible, engaging, surprising and evocative.
Three Wisconsin boys thrive on their differences. Cousins Nate Uhrich (lead vocals) and Jeremiah Lunde (drums) had long been passerby in each other’s lives, with an 8 year age gap and living in different cities. In 2018, the pair re-discovered their musical connection at a family gathering. Soon after, Josh Janiak (bass) joined through a mutual friend and they decided to name the band “Lunde” (a family name).
The group quickly made themselves a fixture of the Indie scene between Milwaukee and Chicago. J Lunde’s ruthless production style and Uhrich’s unique writing style garnered the band attention from indie scene staples.
Lunde’s first record ‘Living Strange’ highlights concise, engaging songwriting and Beach Boys-esque harmonies wrapped in a raw indie sound.
2024 brings Lunde’s newest record which they call, in tongue in cheek fashion, “Wisconsin’s First Band”. On this record, the band confronts some of the feelings that make us most human: happiness, anger, loneliness and everything in between.
An indie band beginning in Kenosha, WI. We are Gold Label, consisting of Aleks Jankovic, Jack Salisbury, Mitch McCanles, and Alex Cope. Our DIY sound comes largely from artists like The Strokes, Bon Iver and Kodak Black. Outside of jamming and recording, our favorite pastimes include sharing music with each other, bungee jumping over shark infested water, and taking joyrides in the Gold Label helicopter.
